This snow-covered mountain village with a pretty spired church to make the Christmas card scene complete, is a perfect setting for a Christmas holiday. Previous Christmasses here have seen festive cheer in every nook and cranny, with the traditional “ Banda da Fodom” concerts filling the air with music.

Most of the accommodation here, like the famous Sporthotel Arabba is centrally located within walking distance of the piste and resort centre. With a half-board hotel deal, breakfast and dinner are included and there’s often the chance to celebrate the special day with a gala dinner put on for guests.

For a traditional alpine getaway choose a cosy chalet, with breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner included, usually with a festive theme. In some chalets, you might even get a visit from Father Christmas himself! Chalet Belvedere is just a three minute walk from the resort centre and lifts meaning you can make the most of everything that this charming spot has to offer or cosy up for some quality time.

At this time of year, the snow is usually in good supply and you’re likely to find some fantastic powder bowls on the high Marmolada peak. As well as exciting terrain on the slopes, there’ll be a lovely festive feel in the town - indulge in some local cuisine at Viel del pan and warm yourself on a bombardino at the Austrian bar.
