Spring skiing in one of Canada’s biggest ski areas is spectacular, with long days, glorious sunshine and oodles to roam. March and April snow depths are usually good in Sun Peaks (the area has an annual snow record of 6m) and for the best snow, Tod is the highest of the three mountains here, peaking at 2152m.
The Easter Bunny traditionally makes an appearance on the slopes on Easter day, with the Sunburst Chairlift and 5-mile slope being his favourite spots to hide Easter eggs… You can also usually attend Catholic Mass at the Sun Peaks Grand or an Easter Sunday service at the Mid-Mountain Chapel.
If Easter coincides with the end of the season, you might catch events like the Tod Mountain Days Spring Festival with fun races and the Slush Cup competition.
Our Sun Peaks packages for the Easter school holidays include flights, transfers and accommodation. Drop us a line if you need some advice or see something you like the look of - we’ll help plan your perfect Easter on the piste.
