Whilst the region’s altitude may be relatively low, with an early Easter and some good snowfall you’re still likely to benefit from some great skiing conditions. With the added backing of piste maintaining equipment and over 1000 snow cannons, skiers are usually able to make the most of the snow even into late March. If the snow can’t quite stay solid for the whole day, then get in as much skiing as humanly possible in the morning on the North facing slopes where the snow will usually be maintained the best. Later on, there’s nothing better than relaxing in the sun and topping up that all important ski holiday tan. For the best views we love the Hohe Salve Gipfelrestaurant’s revolving panoramic terrace, or Scheffau’s Tanzbodenalm.
Come snow or shine (or both) there will always be something to do in SkiWelt do keep everyone entertained during the Easter break. If your little ones can’t get in quite as much ski time as they might have hoped, they’ll soon forget this whilst playing in the swimming pool in Ellmau or being shown around the village in a horse-drawn carriage. We’ve got loads of great accommodation available here, often equipped with steam rooms, saunas and outdoor swimming pools, perfect for some post-ski rejuvenation. Take advantage of our packages including flights, transfers and accommodation for the best value for money, or go for one of our self-drive or accommodation only options.
