Winter Park day and evening care plus snow ski schools and babysitting.
One of the world's top choices for families, Winter Park's state-of-the-art Children's Centre is a one stop facility where kids can be signed up for day care (from age 2 months) or ski school (from age 3), collect their gear at the dedicated rental shop, eat their meals and generally have a ball whilst parents are spared the usual stress of trying to organise all the different bits themselves. The Groswold Discovery Park is a superb, vast ski area, separated by fencing from the main skiing terrain and for use by children and beginners only. Apart from wide flat expanses there are fun terrain features which children love. Further up the mountain the Rendezvous Flats area incorporates hidden teepees, several terrain parks and a half pipe. On-ski group lessons begin with the Ute Program for three and four year olds. Divided in to two sections, neither of which use chair lifts, three year olds have semi-private letters spending half the day on skis at Mt. Maury and half indoors participating in organised play. Four year olds spend the morning at Mt. Maury practicing technique before being taken up the mountain on a specially designed sledge. The Cheyenne Program for five and six year olds, the Navajo program for seven and eight year olds and the Arapahoe program for 9 to 13 year olds are lift-riding schemes for all ability levels, tailored to meet developmental needs. Innovative ideas include the 'Family Private' lesson where groups of up to six can take a lesson of three or six hours together - either all learning together or at different levels, or if parents just want tips on how best to help their kids improve.
