Being America’s most popular accommodation type for skiing holidays, our hotels are in a variety of situations and offer a base for all kinds of holidays. The Peppermill Casino hotel is situated in Reno, about an hour and a half drive away from Heavenly but only a quarter of an hour away from Reno International Airport, perfect for those looking to sample the delights of the gambling laws and nightlife that Nevada can offer. Our other hotels are situated in South Lake Tahoe; the Inn by the Lake offers breath-taking views from its shorefront location and the Horizon Casino hotel is, you guessed it, in one of the casinos on the Nevadan side of the state line, perfect for those looking to find a mix of nightlife and skiing.
The beauty of hotels is their convenience. Usually, the larger the hotel the more likely it is to house onsite amenities. Many big hotels tend to offer in house restaurants, pools & spa facilities and childcare to name a few, perfect if you want a stress free stay having to leave the comfort of your accommodation a minimal amount of times – check out our individual hotel pages for any information about facilities found in these accommodations. Alternatively, small hotels, with their relatively quiet atmosphere offer the chance to retreat to the peace and quiet of your room or get to know the other guests.
With a number of boards on offer, you can tailor your stay to suit your needs. Bed & breakfast will allow you to get out and explore the surrounding area in the search for food – we definitely recommend the Fire + Ice Grill for an interesting twist on the way you dine out, and the Riva Grill for a mouth-watering sit down meal. Alternatively, you can book half board to ease the stress of venturing out, having all your meals available on site.
