Located on the Ylläsjärvi side of the fell, the Ylläs Saaga Hotel offers convenient access onto the slopes. The Saaga Hotel, village and slopes of Ylläsjärvi are on the southern side of the fells, and the village and slopes of Äkäslompolo are located on the northern side of Ylläs. Once you have made it to the top station of the lifts, you can choose which direction you want to take. The slopes are varied, and often relatively uncrowded - ideal for skiers and boarders who are just starting out.

The Ylläs Saaga Hotel is a modern hotel set beside the Ylläsjärvi fell, offering ski in, ski out access - conveniently near to the ski lifts, ski school, and ski hire shop. The comfortable rooms are furnished to a high standard and are well equipped for a week in Lapland, with many offering scenic views across the fell. For those looking for a bit of extra space, the Ylläs Saaga Apartments are a great option. These self-catering apartments offer flexibility, with the added convenience of pre-bookable half board (available at a supplement), served in the main hotel.

After a day of exploring Ylläs, there is nowhere better to relax and unwind than in the hotels own wellness centre. Have a dip in the indoor pool, soothe any aches and pains in the hot tub, or warm up in the sauna and steam room. For the younger guests, there is also a children's pool and splash area. Pamper yourself and book a massage or treatment with the hotel reception for a local fee. Alternatively, if you are keen to keep up your fitness levels there is also an on-site gym (reservation only).

Each morning you can enjoy a varied buffet breakfast with a range of hot and cold options, served from 7am - 10am.

When you return from a day on the slopes, enjoy a drink at the Fireplace Bar before heading to dinner. Each evening you can indulge in a three course evening meal with a choice of main taken at the Biegga buffet restaurant, which has fantastic views across the fells and Ylläsjärvi.

For a little extra, you can enjoy a meal at the à la carte restaurant - Tsohka, the restaurant's menu is inspired by Lappish ingredients and local flavours. Guests can receive a 30% discount for the à la carte restaurant. Please inform the reception by 6pm the day before. Please note that the à la carte restaurant is not guaranteed to be open all season.

If you're staying on half board over Christmas, you can enjoy festive Finnish menu on the evening of December 24th. If you’re staying on half board over the New Year, you can enjoy a special seasonal menu.
