Built in 1893, the Sunstar Boutique is one of the oldest hotels in Saas fee – and it’s been carefully modernised to create a country-style property that oozes comfort whilst retaining its vintage charm. The hotel is in the centre of town, with a ski bus stop right outside so you can be on the mountain in minutes. If you don’t mind carrying your gear, it’s just 5 minutes’ walk to the Alpine Express lift.

The rooms are individually decorated, so no two are the same. The mix of traditional furnishings and natural materials blends well with the modern touches, like sleek bathrooms and lots of amenities. This theme continues throughout the hotel to the restaurant, where you'll enjoy a full breakfast and delicious evening meals. There are also two à la carte restaurants, La Ferme and Fee Chäller, which are gorgeously rustic in décor and have fantastic menus to match. A fantastic extra at the Sunstar is the grotto-style indoor pool with underwater bubble bench – perfect for a soothing soak or a splash about with the kids.
