• 600m (around 5-10 mins walk) to the Silver Queen Gondola at the base of Aspen Ski Mountain • 300m from Aspen town centre • the best place to pick up the ski shuttle to the other 3 resorts is from the main bus station by the gondola – it’s 700m away but as it’s the main hub you get the most frequent busses
We love the Mountain House Lodge – there aren’t many great value hotels left in the centre of Aspen so this is a welcome change from the plethora of luxury properties. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful - you couldn’t get a friendlier welcome. And although this is a less expensive place to stay it’s still a very high standard. The rooms are great – not huge but if you’re planning to spend more time skiing or in Aspen Town it doesn’t matter. There’s a post-skiing hot tub and even breakfast is included daily.
