The high quality Maston Aitio cabins are in a scenic, peaceful location and well positioned for the skiing. The cabins are close to a rope tow lift, connecting skiers to the east side of the mountain. There are a total of 52 cabins, each of which holds two cabin-apartments. Each apartment has its own private exterior entrance. There is a ski bus service that runs during the day, taking you to the resort centre, shops and supermarket.

Room Types - bathrooms beds & sleeping

All have kitchenette with oven, hot plates, microwave, kettle, fridge and dishwasher. Lounge/dining area with sofas, tables and chairs, open fireplace, satellite TV with DVD/CD, internet link. Bed linen, towels and end of stay cleaning (except kitchen area) included.

Type E cabin-apartments - sleep 2-6 (recommended max 4 adults and 2 children): Lounge/dining area with a sofa bed (suitable for two children only). Two separate twin bedrooms. Shower room with WC and sauna. Additional separate WC.
Type G cabin-apartments - sleep 2-8 (recommended max 6 adults and 2 children): As type E but with stairs leading up to a third twin bedroom under the eaves.

This package holiday to Maston Aitio Cabins in Ruka, Finland / Lapland departs Sunday 10th December 2017, for a 7 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. Nestled in the Finnish hills on the borders of Lapland, just south of the Arctic Circle, a visit here is a once-in-a-lifetime experience (and many return again and again). Sometimes called the ‘gateway to Lapland’, the resort was founded in the winter of 1954 when the first slope opened. Whilst larger resorts can be a bit overwhelming, the compact, unintimidating ski area here is just right for first timers. Many of the lifts are beginner-friendly t-bars and Ruka also boasts the largest and oldest ski school in Finland. 41% of the runs are suitable for beginners – including the longest at 1.3km (blue 27 on the piste map).
