Enjoy a fantastic holiday package, with numerous activities included with your accommodation. The superb Aurinkorinne apartments offer an excellent standard of accommodation in a great location in West Ruka. These apartments are only a few minutes away from the centre of resort, restaurants, bars and supermarkets. If you are a competent skier, with the fantastic snow, you can ski from your door as they are very close to the Talvijarvi slopes.

DAY 1) Transfer from the airport to your accommodation. Pre-bookable Grocery pack available.

DAY 2) Snowmobile safari taster

The safari starts with an introduction on how to drive a snowmobile. The safari goes through the spectacular snowy forests of the local area. (Driving time approx. 1 hour., duration of the programme 1.5hr). Free time; relax, visit the shopping centre in resort, the bars and restaurants nearby or take a relaxing sauna within your own apartment.

DAY 3) Husky farm and taster rides

Bus transfer, then an introduction to the huskies and instruction for driving. Enjoy the exhilarating ride as the safari route (2 km) goes through some incredible scenery, (duration of the programme approx. 2hrs).

DAY 4) 'Ice fishing'

Travel to a nearby frozen lake and try your hand at the incredible local tradition of Ice fishing. Learn how the holes are drilled, try ice fishing and see if your luck is in! Coffee break by an open fire, (duration of the programme approx. 2hrs).

DAY 5) Reindeer farm visit

Transfer to meet a local herder and his reindeer. You can also feed the reindeer and enjoy some coffee/tea/juice and a regional pastry. A fantastic way to experience nature, by travelling in a reindeer sleigh, the old fashioned Lappish way. The trip goes through the wonderful snowy forest, (300m circuit ride, duration of the entire programme approx. 1.5hrs).

DAY 6) Cross country ski taster session


DAY 7) Free day

This day is free for your own activities. You could try cross-country, downhill skiing or any of the many other activities on offer in resort. Alternatively, you could simply relax and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere in resort.

DAY 8) Departure. Return to UK.

· Half Board includes breakfast at the Colorado Restaurant and dinner at the Piste restaurant, with a choice of main course. Both restaurants are located in Ruka Village and are around a 10 minute uphill walk from the Aurinkorinne Apartments.
