· 4 minutes’ walk to the centre of the Arinsal · 4 minutes’ walk to the Els Orriols gondola · ski school meeting point and nursery slopes at the top of the Els Orriols gondola · 2 minutes' walk to the supermarket
The KY Mountain Hostel is a no-fuss base for your Arinsal ski trip. It’s a few minutes' walk from the base gondola, so you can hit the Pal-Arinsal pistes pronto. After a day on the snow, you can join the buzz in the hostel's shared spaces. Take your pick from the bar and games room with pool, table football and darts. Or head to the top floor, where there’s a spacious TV room filled with comfy seats – the perfect spot to watch the big game.
You’ll get a private room with its own ensuite bathroom, so you’ve got your own space when it’s time to turn in for the day. As for looks, the vibe is modern industrial chic – think exposed pipework and a pared-back colourscheme of grey, white and black.
Start your ski day with the hot and cold buffet breakfast at the AKY Restaurant – it's all part of your stay. If you're still around at lunch or dinner, you can pay extra and tuck into something off the á la carte menu. Sticking to a budget? There's a shared kitchen where you can whip up your own meals with supplies from the nearby supermarket, a couple of minutes’ walk away.

•Lively après ski •Varied ski area •Family friendly skiing
Arinsal might be one of Europe’s most underrated ski destinations, and every year it closes the gap on the larger resorts. With some of the sunniest skiing in Europe, incredible duty-free shopping and dining, plus a huge range of off-slope activities, we recommend Arinsal as an affordable alternative to the Alps, especially during the school holidays when it's popular for terrific value and family friendly ski schools.
Great for •Mixed ability groups •Non skiers •First time skiers •Families
