Overview - hotel description - Hotel Relais des Alpes description

A central location, great food and its very own pub – the Relais des Alpes has got it all. The ski bus stops right outside, or you can warm your legs up for the slopes with the short walk to the Clotes lift. The hotel is right on the main piazza in Sauze, so you'll be perfectly placed for making the most of Italy’s liveliest resort by day and night.

We love the enormous breakfasts and delicious dinners that showcase Italy's fantastic hospitality. The Queens Lounge pub is always a crowd-pleaser in the evenings, with its friendly atmosphere and pool table, or you can head to the sauna or whirlpool for a little R&R after a hard day on the mountain. Remember to pop your boots into the ski and boot room on your way in and they’ll be toasty and dry for you the next day.

"Very good hotel, suited to families"

Guy Pilkington, Newcastle upon Tyne

We had a lovely holiday. The hotel was comfortable and the rooms were fairly big (we had a 3 bedded room). It’s not particularly modern, but it’s sufficiently well maintained and it’s certainly clean. There was a little bit of noise from the square outside, but it wasn’t intrusive. The catering was good, not amazing but good, and it was plentiful. It tended to be buffet style with plenty of veggie and non-veggie choices. It lent itself well to families. You could keep your ski gear in the ski room downstairs. It was a bit of a trek to get to the gondola, you could either take the bus or go by foot. We took the bus, which was usually packed but we could always get on. Some of the other customers chose to pay for a locker at the lifts, making it an easy 5 minute walk or an easier bus ride without the gear. This was the only significant thing to note about the hotel. The staff were very helpful. There was always someone at reception. At the hotel there were lots of families with children of varying ages, so I would recommend it to families. For this reason it might not be suited to couples, particularly if you didn’t want to have children around. It worked for us, I travelled with my sons (teenage/20 years), and my boys were perfectly happy with the hotel. We went down and watched the football on the TV in the bar, that was nice for them.

"All good"
