The hotel is perfectly placed for access to the Les Suches gondola and Bosco Express chairlift, both of which take you up to the Les Suches area at 2200m, with viewpoints, cafés and plenty of blue runs. Getting back at the end of the day is via red runs No.6 or No.7, or the more direct black runs No.2 and No.3. There’s also the Maison Blanche lift from La Thuile town, for access to the beginner blue No.36.
There are several good restaurants within walking distance - try Pepita Café or Lo Tata for tasty Italian food made with local produce - or you can stay within the Planibel complex for dinner and drinks. The Cage aux Folles is within the building and is a great place to take apperitivo and catch sports events.
The Hotel Planibel is in an excellent ski-in, ski-out location right by the gondola and chairlift. It’s near the centre, with all of La Thuile’s shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance - so you can save your energy for the slopes.
The complex itself has an extensive range of facilities onsite - cafés, bars and restaurants - so after you’re done with skiing, you won’t even have to step outside again. There’s a huge indoor pool, as well as a sauna and steam room, ideal for relaxing in the afternoons and evenings. If you’ve still got energy to burn, you can head to the fitness centre just outside the hotel.
Hungry? You’ll be well taken care of here. There’s a range of restaurants and bars onsite, as well as a mini-market for grabbing a quick snack. The buffet breakfasts and gourmet 4-course evening meals will round of your days nicely, and you can even upgrade to full board to get lunch thrown in too.
When you’re finally ready for bed, you’ll look forward to returning to your cosy room. We’ve got twin and quad rooms available, as well as options for sole occupancy, so the Planibel really is ideal for everyone.
