· 1 minute’s walk to the ski bus stop (approx. 10 minutes’ ride to the slopes) · 11 minutes’ walk to the supermarket
In the snowy stillness of Ylläs, Hotel Lost is a great low-key base for your ski holiday. You’re just a minute’s stroll from the ski bus stop – hop on for free and you’ll be heading up the slopes in around ten. There’s a supermarket a short walk away too, so stocking up on snacks or dinner ingredients is easy. And when you’re not out exploring the powder, there’s a cosy little bar back at base for a quiet drink and a debrief.
The vibe here is all about simple Scandi style – think clean lines, pale woods and a palette of whites, creams and cool greys. Apartments are fuss-free and functional, with slouchy sofas, patterned cushions and just enough colour to keep things interesting. You’ll get a kitchenette for easy meals, a dining table for group chit-chats, and – the best bit – your own private sauna for that post-ski warm-up ritual.
Breakfast is sorted too, with a hot and cold buffet each morning. There are made-to-order omelettes, eggs and bacon if you’re feeling hearty, or cereal, toast and yoghurt if you’re keeping it light. It’s a relaxed, help-yourself kind of set-up – just fuel up, layer up and head out.
