If you want to be first and last on the piste then Lo Stambecco is the hotel for you. Situated high above Cervinia at Plan Maison, the cable-cars to Plateau Rosa, Laghi Cime Bianche and Cervinia are just a few steps away. The hotel is very informal and has a bar and lounge with daily entertainment, TV room, billiards and a dining room which, like the sun terrace, has spectacular views. If skiing is more important than village nightlife you'll like it here, as after 4pm, access to Cervinia is only by snowmobile (payable locally). Transfers are by cable-car on arrival and snowmobile on departure.
