Overview: apartment description: Hotel Kide description

This contemporary, family run hotel is based in the heart of beautiful Iso-Syöte, with everything you need close by, all year round. It's less than a minute's walk to the lifts, ski school, nursey slopes, nearest corner shop and bus stop. And the snowy scenery and hiking trails of the Syöte National Park are right on your doorstep too.

The rooms are spacious and cosy, with clever features to make your stay comfortable. Natural wood and neutral colours to give an authentic Scandinavian feel. And they’ve all got a balcony with great views of the slopes or Lake Luppovesi. The kitchenettes have everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay, or upgrade to bed and breakfast or half board and let someone else take care of the cooking. There are several restaurants in town too – try local favourites like herring and squeaky Kuusamo cheese. The hotel restaurant, Tuba Food & Lounge, is famous for its vegetarian options.

The hotel has an eco-friendly focus, with geothermal energy and digital check-in services helping to keep it green. Finland is also known for its love of saunas, and the hotel has two where you can warm up in the evenings. Or try out the peat and smoke saunas in town – followed by a quick dip in the lake, if you’re feeling brave.

The Panorama restaurant in Hotel Iso Syote is one of the most popular eateries in the resort, with high quality dishes accompanied by amazing views of the surroundings. It’s attached to the Panorama Bar where you can enjoy live music and a disco that stays open into the early hours. The Snapsibaari shot bar has a DJ and regular theme and karaoke nights and is open Fridays and Saturdays in the winter season. We love the pizzas at Pärjänkievari (the steaks are super too). Club Legenda has something for adults a...
