· 3 minutes’ walk to the centre of Saas-Fee · free hotel shuttle bus to slopes (leaving twice in the morning at either 8.30am or 9.30am and 10.30am, returning 3pm and 4pm) · 12 minutes’ walk to the Alpin Express 1 gondola · 15 minutes’ walk to the nursery slopes · 3 minutes’ walk to the ski bus stop
It's just a casual 3-minute amble to the centre from the Europa, so you're well placed for checking out Saas-Fee’s bars and restaurants. When it’s time to click in and rack up some ski miles though, it’s a bit further to reach the lifts. If you don’t fancy warming up with the walk though, the good news is that you can just hop on the hotel’s free shuttle. This’ll whisk you over to the hotel's boot room by the beginner slopes, where you can leave your boots and skis after your time on the mountain.
After you're all sloped out, it’s time for a little pampering. Head through the short tunnel and you’ll find yourself in the connected sister hotel, which is home to the Europa’s spa facilities. Unwind in the sauna or opt for the steam room or hot tub if they're more your vibe. Whichever way you choose to relax, be sure to finish up with a rejuvenating visit to the experience shower – definitely a more novel option for freshening up than your average shower.
When it comes to the rooms, things are pretty no-frills at the Europa. With their simple furnishings, they provide a great base for skiers who are here to prioritise time on the slopes. It's all about keeping things streamlined for your ski break here.
