Location - where is Hotel de les Pistes

The Hotel de les Pistes enjoys a favourable position at the foot of the slopes with a short walk to both the TSF 4 Solana and TSF 4 Costa Rodana. The latter is the best way to access the huge Grandvalira ski area, taking you over the peak and down into the next valley. On the descent back into town though, you have a few choices. Intermediates can take the Tubs blue, or the Directa red runs, while experts might prefer the FIS run. The hotel’s position in town is pretty unbeatable, too. On the Carrer Bearn, the property is surrounded by a selection of bars and eateries including Burger King and Bo & Gola tapas bar, while Paddy’s Irish bar is a short walk up the road.

Overview - hotel description - Hotel de les Pistes description

If you’re after fuss-free accommodation in the heart of Pas de la Casa, with unbeatable access to the mountain, look no further than the Hotel de les Pistes. It’s right at the foot of the slopes, just a couple of minutes' walk from the lifts, and is close to the resorts bars and shops.

The 24 rooms are simple but functional and comfortable – and many of them face the slopes, so you can wake up to superb mountain views. The rest of the facilities are limited, but there’s a room for storing your skis and free WiFi, too.

Each morning, you can fuel up with a selection of pastries, cereals, meats and cheeses from the continental buffet. And in the evenings, you can sit down to three courses at the onsite Winners Fun Eating. If you prefer to have all your meals covered, just upgrade to full board and you'll also have a daily light lunch served on the hotel’s terrace.

Given the location, you’ll be on or off the slopes in minutes, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy some lively après - something that Pas is renowned for - or bask in the brilliant Pyrenean sunshine. For those in need of some retail therapy, Pas also has the best choice of shops outside of the capital.

Not only is Pas de la Casa the highest ski resort in the Pyrenees (it sits at a lofty 2100m), but it’s also the sunniest. The après ski scene is arguably one of the best in Europe, and the resort is also home to some of the best shopping in the country… so far, so good! The first lift was installed by ski legend Francesc Viladomat in 1956, and the resort has been growing ever since. The village of Grau Roig was soon incorporated into the ski area, and when the resorts joined forces (and linked lifts) with ...
The variety of terrain is apparent as soon as you leave the village- from the six seater Font Negre or the smaller Costa Rodonda you’ll be able to access one of the regions snowparks, the boardercross track, beginners zone and a freeriding area. The beginners area at the base of the valley has a few incredibly gentle lifts and approachable nursery slopes and at the end of the day all levels of skier can ski right down into the village – the red/blue Tubs will take you virtually to the door of your hotel. ...
Pas de La Casa really comes into its own when it comes to the après scene, with locals and tourists alike taking liberal advantage of the duty free drink prices and late opening times. Eating out is much cheaper than you’d expect in a ski resort as well- most of the restaurants serve a selection of family friendly European food, though you’ll be able to find some local Andorran specialties (such as the warming escudella stew) at Costa Rodona. There’s a McDonalds and a Burger King for the unadventurous, w...
