The hotel is situated in the southern, quieter part of Zermatt, with a breath-taking view of the Matterhorn. The nearest restaurant is around 100 m away, the town centre with bars and clubs is around 800 m away, and Zermatt's tourist centre and shops can be found within around 1 km of the hotel. It is only 7 km away from the Small Matterhorn Express Gondola, and in good snow conditions it is even possible to ski in and out of the hotel in the wintertime. The family-friendly hotel was nicely renovated in 2010 and offers a total of 39 rooms and apartments spread across 3 different houses. It offers a free shuttle service for guests from the train station in Zermatt to the hotel and back on arrival and departure days. Facilities at the hotel include a lobby, hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, Internet access (fees apply), room service and a laundry service. All rooms are renovated and en suite with a shower, WC and hairdryer. Amenities include a double bed, direct dial telephone, cable TV, wireless Internet access and individually regulated heating. Most of the rooms have a terrace or a balcony with beautiful Matterhorn views. The hotel has a beautiful new health and spa area, including a solarium with sun loungers and parasols, a hot tub, sauna, steam room and both massage and spa treatments. A continental breakfast and breakfast buffet is served each morning, while dinner is available à la carte or from a set menu. The hotel pampers guests with the à la carte restaurant, bar, ancient wine cellar and much more.
