· ski-in, ski-out location · situated in Canyons Village at Park City resort centre · steps away from the Orange Bubble Express Lift · ski bus stop outside the hotel · 10 minutes' walk to the bus station · less than 2 minutes' walk to the nearest supermarket
At the centre of Canyons Village stands a place where all activities and excitement emanates - the Grand Summit. And grand is certainly what it is. This impressive complex contains 350 lodging options, and with its warming Alpine colours and contemporary build, contrasts perfectly against the snowy mountain backdrop. In seconds you can ski out to the entrance to the Orange Bubble Express lift – the only lift of its kind in the USA – and less than a minutes’ walk away is the Red Pine gondola. But if you’re feeling spoilt for choice, the Grand Summit bell boys are keen to give you the best hints and tips on which runs to try out first.
As you enter the Grand Summit you will walk under the beautiful, and truly American, porte-cochère and into the monumental lobby with its magnificently high ceilings, its tall, stone slab centre pillar, and wood cladded staircases that will welcome you in from the cold outdoors. Once you've skied back to door after a tremendous day on the slopes, you can fall back into one of the quilted leather armchairs in the lobby, or jump into the toasty outdoor pool to carry on admiring the amazing views.
These tremendous sights carry on throughout the hotel and in your rooms, whether it be a room, studio or condo. Comfortable and unpretentious, Grand Summit accommodation offers large snugly beds and spacious living areas, so even with all your gear you still have extra space. All self-catered accommodations also include fully equipped kitchens so you don’t have to budget for meals out all the time. But if you’re in a hotel room, or you just fancy exploring Canyons Village or Park City, there’s a whole range of restaurants the bell boys will be more than happy to advise you on.
The hotel itself has 3 main restaurants you can make the most of, with The Cabin open for breakfast, and Red Tail and The Farm (voted Utah’s best new restaurant) open for lunch and dinner. All of them offer a high standard of dining to make for a pleasurable culinary experience.
As much as the outdoor activities are enticing and hard-to-beat, if you just fancy relaxing without having to trudge around with all your ski gear, you can head over to the Canyons Resort Spa and Health Club. With a sauna, steam room and fitness center, there’s a lot to help you unwind, and if you just want to treat yourself – because why not, you’re on holiday – revitalise with a luxurious spa treatment.
