Grand Hotel Sestriere has great facilities and a fab location. The lifts are only a few minutes away but there's a free shuttle if you don't fancy the walk. The hotel feels very comfortable and welcoming with a classic Italian style. There's three restaurants to choose from in the evening. One's included on your half board package but it's always nice to have the option to upgrade to a la carte (payable locally). We recommend giving the pizza place a go and trying a real Italian thin crust, home baked pizza cooked in a traditional oven. The hotel's wine cellar is incredible - there's over 1,500 labels so you'll be spoilt for choice. Once you have made your decision why not enjoy it in the cosy lounge with open fire or at the bar with panoramic views of the mountains. If you're looking for something more relaxing, head to the wellness centre where you can enjoy the sauna, steam room and whirlpool (payable locally). Beauty treatments and massages are also available (payable locally).
After a busy day or having eaten lots in the restaurant, you can retire to your room for a good night’s sleep. If you can, upgrade to a larger room that faces the slopes - it's worth it for the great views. All rooms have a balcony and, most importantly, comfortable beds.
Transfer time: approx. 1 hour 45mins by coach from Turin airport.
Local Fees and Taxes
Local tourist tax of €2 per person per night payable locally directly to hotel

If you fancy going a la carte one evening, there's two restaurants to choose from (both payable locally). La Vineria del Colle specializes in local food and has an exceptional wine list. There's over 1,500 labels available from the cellar. This restaurant has several awards by American magazine Wine Spectator. For simple and delicious Italian food, head for Il Pesce Rosso - a pizzeria overlooking the slopes of Sestriere.
