The Grand Hotel La Torre has striking looks. Step inside and the circular building opens into a bright atrium, which stretches all the way up to the glass roof above. A gentle spiral ramp winds upwards to rooms, which each have modern mountain looks – think natural wood, pastel tones and plenty of soft lighting.

Breakfast and dinner are included here, and the hotel restaurant has a great view over the valley, to the mountains beyond. Start your day with a self-service breakfast, where eggs, bacon and continental options are all on the cards. Next, it's off to the slopes – the hotel runs a shuttle service that takes you straight to the lift. Then later, it's back to the restaurant for your evening buffet meal.

This hotel's near the centre of the resort, and the bars, restaurants and shops are all a couple of minutes’ walk away if you fancy exploring. If chilling out is on the cards instead, you can pay extra to enjoy the indoor pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna and relaxation areas in the Sauze Spa, which is just across the road.

When you arrive in the resort, the coach isn’t able to take you right up to the entrance of the Grand Hotel La Torre, so you’ll be dropped off close by. From there, your luggage will be transported for you, and you’ll have a 5-minute walk.
