The Font d’Argent is a great pick if you’re after a convenient, good-quality stay in Canillo. Start each day by tucking into a generous breakfast buffet, with fresh bread, pancakes, pastries, eggs and cold cuts – just the thing to fuel a morning on the slopes. Then it’s a short 2–3 minute walk to Canillo’s gondola, so you’ll be up exploring the Grandvalira ski area in no time. And when you’ve skied your last run, it’s just as quick to get back and stash your gear in the boot room.

Inside, the hotel has a relaxed yet contemporary feel, with elegant rooms and inviting spaces to kick back with a drink in after a day on the mountain. For a little extra indulgence, there’s a wellness area available at an additional cost – complete with a heated pool with jets, hot tub, sauna and ice cabin. You can also book a massage to soothe those well-worked ski muscles.

Come evening, you’re well looked after with buffet-style dinners, where Mediterranean flavours and local produce take centre stage. If you fancy a change of scene, Canillo’s bars and restaurants are just a short stroll away. Or for a more low-key night, head to the hotel’s games room for a round of pool.
