Fairmont Chateau Whistler’s Gold Floors are where Whistler’s most elevated experiences come to life – quite literally, as they span the top floors of one of the resort’s most prestigious hotels. This separate part of the hotel istheplace to stay if you’re after next-level service and thoughtful little luxuries. Think private check-in, a dedicated concierge team and a lounge that’s part living room, part self-serve cocktail bar, part all-day snack station. Step outside and you’re right by the lifts – and when you’re done for the day, the ski valet team will be waiting to whisk away your gear while you warm up by the open fire with a cup of help-yourself hot chocolate.
Inside, things are seriously sleek and stylish. Rooms are all calming greys, dark greens and mustards, with plush beds, high ceilings, panelled walls and your own fireplace. You’ll get a nightly turndown service too – so while you’re out enjoying dinner or après, your room is being fluffed and prepped for a cosy night in.
And then there’s the Fairmont Gold Lounge – your private hangout spot with knockout views and plenty to graze on throughout the day. Expect to find soft drinks, cakes, pastries, sandwiches, canapés and late-night sweet treats. There’s unlimited tea and coffee too, as well as a self-serve Honor Bar with top-shelf spirits and signature cocktails. Basically, you’ll really get the golden treatment.
When it comes to eating out, you’ve got plenty of options onsite – from posh après and live music at the Mallard Lounge, to juicy steaks at The Grill Room, beautifully plated brunches at The Wildflower, and maple bacon donuts at Portobello. A Continental buffet breakfast is included as standard, and if you upgrade to half board, you’ll get three-course evening meal too. Or take a scenic stroll through the trees and across the stream to Whistler Village for even more bars and restaurants. You’ll also have access to all the main hotel’s facilities – including two heated outdoor pools, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, barrel saunas, steam rooms, a fully kitted-out fitness room and free yoga classes. Then there’s a spa where you can pay a little extra for massages and treatments, a parade of boutique shops and a Whistler Experience Guide offering daily excursions like snowshoeing and mountain tours.
Please note: These Gold Floors are part of the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, but offer guests a more exclusive experience with extra perks and personalised service. Please check that the hotel you've selected is the one you intend to stay at.
