Chalet Pierre-Ollaire Summary

Chalet Pierre-Ollaire (sleeps 12). Chalet Peirre Ollaire is a superb addition to our programme for the 2013/14 season and we are hugely proud to have it as part of our Verbier portfolio.

This super 12-person traditional freestanding chalet is situated in one of this leading Swiss ski resort's most exclusive areas, close to the Le Rouge piste and the Carrefour, therefore offering straight-forward easy ski access directly into the system without having to use the main town lifts at busy times.  It boasts beautiful Alpine charm with a wonderful large drawing room with open log fire and access to a stunning terrace with fantastic views. The spacious bedrooms provide a mix of twin and double rooms, either with ensuite or access to full bath or shower rooms.

The Pierre Ollaire provides a superb opportunity for groups to enjoy the Swiss way of life Verbier has to offer whilst offering real privacy in spectacular surroundings.

Two of our hand-selected chalet hosts (most likely a couple) will be there to look after you - they live out.

Did You Know... the translation of "Pierre-Ollaire" is Soapstone - an extremely rare rock formation found in less than 1% of Alpine rock. It is mainly used in the formation of vases, hearths and fireplaces due to its immense ability to deal with extreme heat.

MEALS AT Chalet Pierre-Ollaire, Verbier

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

Established in 1937, posh party town Verbier covers a sunny plateau slap bang in the middle of Switzerland’s 4 valleys – which just happens to be one of Europe’s biggest and best ski areas. The easy-on-the-eye architecture’s a pretty mix of wood and slate, but it’s what you’ll find within some of these walls that’ll blow your socks off… Blending in with dozens of classic chalets and ski hotels, this place has some of the most luxurious lodgings on the planet. Some hotels come with designer suites an...
Besides being famous for its off-piste routes, Verbier’s well groomed slopes are well known as some of the most challenging in the Alps. Although it mainly attracts intermediate, advanced and expert level skiers seeking adventurous off-piste and steeps experience, the 37 local pistes covering 100km provide for all abilities. The resort has three areas specifically for beginners, including the gentle slopes at Les Moulins, which has a children’s area and Les Esserts, with its 120m magic carpet. Those with a b...
Many say Verbier’s après is the main reason to visit – it’s certainly some of the best in the world and if you want to increase the odds of bumping into Prince Harry or Leonardo di Caprio on the dance floor, there’s no better place to party. From a good old pint in a lively pub (we love Nelson’s and Pub Mont Fort) to swanky cocktails with the socialites at Cordee de Alps, the nightlife is wonderfully varied. An absolute legend is the Farinet - with a huge sliding roof, a commanding position over the mai...
