In the centre of Lauterbrunnen, in a central, quiet, sunny position on a slope. Private: garden 500 m2. Garden furniture, barbecue. In the house: storage room for skis, central heating system, washing machine, tumble dryer, ski boot dryer. Linen change (suppl. charge extra). Towel change (suppl. charge extra). Room cleaning on request (extra). Narrow motor access to the house. 4x4 car recommended in winter. Width of access road: 320 cm. Parking (for 4 cars) at the house. Shop 300 m, supermarket 500 m, restaurant 300 m, bakery 400 m, bus stop 300 m, railway station "Lauterbrunnen", outdoor swimming pool 500 m. Golf course (17 hole) 11 km, tennis, minigolf 600 m, cable car 500 m, ski rental 250 m, ski bus stop 200 m. Nearby attractions: Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Interlaken 12 km. Well-known ski regions can easily be reached: Wengen - Kleine Scheidegg, Mürren Schilthorn. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thunersee, Brienzersee. Spacious and bright, cosy and wooden furniture furnishings: living/dining room 35 m2 with open-hearth fireplace, cable TV, digital TV, international TV channels, flat screen, radio, CD-player, hi-fi system, DVD and tiled stove. Exit to the balcony. 1 room 20 m2 with 1 french bed (160 cm, length 200 cm). Open kitchen 12 m2 (oven, dishwasher, 5 ceramic glass hob hotplates, microwave, freezer, electric coffee machine, raclette grill fondue Set (cheese)). Shower/WC. On the lower ground floor: 1 room 28 m2 with 1 double sofabed (130 cm, length 200 cm), 1 french bed (160 cm, length 200 cm), cable TV and flat screen. 1 room 15 m2 with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Exit to the garden. Bath/WC, double hand-basin. Upper floor: 1 room 14 m2 with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). 2 rooms 16 m2, with sloping ceilings, ceiling height 160 - 215 cm, each room with 1 french bed (160 cm, length 200 cm). Shower/WC. Balcony 35 m2. Balcony furniture, deck chairs (6), box-room. Marvellous view of the mountains and the countryside. Facilities: washing machine, dryer, iron, children's high chair, baby cot for up to 4 year olds. Internet (WiFi, free). Reserved parking (4 cars) at the house. Please note: suitable for families. After a hiking holiday here in 1911, Lauterbrunnen’s landscape formed J.R.R. Tolkein’s inspiration for the misty mountains and elven realm of Rivendell in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The mountain railway gives access to Murren-Schilthorn ski area on one side of the valley as well as the Kleine Scheidegg-Mannlichen area above Wengen on the other. On the Murren-Schilthorn side, the ski area includes some of Europe’s greatest black runs, including the Schilthorn run from 2970m (part of the famous Inferno race, which links 15km of slopes back to Lauterbrunnen) and the Kandahar slope which gets seriously steep at points. The Horner is the only pub in the village, with a cosy, chilled out atmosphere where you can sit back with a beer and soak up the views from the terrace.
