The apartments are located right beside the Talvijarvi slopes in West Ruka, meaning you can take advantage of fresh snow in the morning and ski back to them once you’re done in the afternoon – or pop back for lunch in-between.
It’s a five minute walk into the village’s shops and restaurants, or if you want to visit the bigger supermarket on the East side of Ruka, there’s a free shuttle bus from the village centre.
The Aurinkorinne Apartments are spacious, modern and furnished to a high standard - ideal for groups and families.
Unlike most of the accommodation in Ruka, the location is just west of the main village, in a peaceful setting among the pine trees. While it’s a 10-minute uphill walk to the centre, there’s a t-bar lift close by that will take you straight to the main ski area. And at the end of the day, you can ski right back to your door.
The apartments all come with well-equipped kitchenettes, ski lockers next to the front door and drying cabinets for all your gear. In the evenings, you can relax in your own private sauna or get cosy in front of the roaring log fire.
Ruka village is generally pretty laid back, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants to try if you fancy a break from cooking. There’s also a reasonably priced supermarket, which is handy for stocking up on essentials.
If you’ve got the family in tow, you can spend a few hours at the bowling alley or indoor adventure play area - and definitely don’t miss out on trying some of the outdoor winter activities on offer in and around resort.
Lapland Activity weeks and Santa Activity weeks are also available to book, staying at the Aurinkorinne Apartments.
The check-in time for these apartments is 6pm. If your apartment is ready earlier then you'll be able to check in earlier. Check-out is at 12pm.
