Established in 1971 the Spanish ski resort Astun lies at 2300 metres altitude in the Huesca region of the Spanish Pyrenees. The nearest airport transfer to Astun (Spain) is Pamplona at a distance of 138km or approximately 120 minutes driving time. Astun ski season runs from December to April.

The futuristic and fully-equipped purpose-built centre is located in a treeless valley above Candanchu. One of the unsuccessful candidates for the 2002 Winter Olympics and put in a bid for 2010, there is a slalom stadium and ski jump at resort.
