Riu Atoll - All Inclusive

This trip was to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and we wouldn’t change anything! The resort is absolutely stunning and the staff were so attentive and friendly. The food in all 3 restaurants was incredible and the water activities were also brilliant! The entertainment was fantastic with a live band playing most evenings and the party nights are amazing!! Make sure you pack accordingly! We didn’t realise there was a white party until we were there! We really couldn’t have asked for anything better. Plug sockets are UK and the resort accepts USD & GBP (I emailed in advance and the reception staff were so helpful)

Just returned from our 4th visit to Riu Atoll (last time being Dec 🤣🤣) which again provided us with a relaxing and amazing holiday. As mentioned in previous reviews one of the things that really make a stay here so enjoyable are the people that work there. They are friendly and helpful which given they work so hard probably sometimes doesn’t come easy. ☺️☺️☺️☺️ Food as usual was excellent and I love the speciality restaurants! One thing I have however noticed is that some things have begun to change that used to make a nice difference - such as in the buffet restaurant you used to be shown to a seat now you kind of get left to your own devices somewhat and when it is busy you can end up wandering up and down aimlessly for a while trying to locate somewhere unoccupied. I believe it was a conscious decision by the hotel to change this which is a shame as the greeting at the door always was a really nice touch (that said some of the longstanding staff still do practice greeting you at the door from time to time which is really a nice touch on their part). There were other subtle changes such as this that we noticed (some people openly being over catered for by senior staff which can seem a bit fawning and vulgar - have never really seen this previously and prefer not to see it to be honest) - unfortunately too many of these subtle changes may mean it starts to lose its edge in terms of quality of service which would be a real shame as it is such a beautiful place and somewhere we enjoy returning to over & over for some R&R. Individuals that stand out are as always the wonderful members of the entertainment team Sadani, Prasad & Sanju you will never meet a nicer trio!! In the bar areas Chamee (you couldn’t meet a nicer, friendlier person) Fazlur (fab barman and all round nice guy), Singhe (always a pleasure to see him as he is always smiling and quick to greet you) & Jessica (she runs the pool bar with effortless professionalism and always has a smile for everyone!!) are superstars. Iman our cleaner who not only kept our room spotless he also made time to stop and chat and make sure we always had everything we needed!! All in all another fab stay but just a slightly lower rating this time given those subtleties which hopefully was just a blip ☺️☺️

Stayed for 11 nights in April. The journey is long 3 planes & a boat. But so worth it when you step off the boat absolute paradise with a welcome drink & cold flannel. We had 6 nights in the standard room with balcony. Which was great. A large room with huge comfortable bed, mini bar which was stocked daily, tea & coffee etc. fab bathroom & a balcony over looking the sea. We then upgraded to an over water suite for 5 nights, which was fabulous. The steps into the ocean and a great outdoor space was just perfect 👌🏻. There’s a decent pool which we visited but didn’t stay. Seemed quite busy. We’re not really into the pool vibes so stayed on the fantastic beach. Always got a sunbed on the beach just not always near our room. Didn’t bother us just happy to be there, also spent lots of time in the sea. 24hour sports bar & a beautiful outdoor bar area which we visited a few times. The hotel & all the staff were fantastic. Food brilliant. We ate at the Steak restaurant and the Italian both were amazing. Can’t fault anything. The staff work so hard and all were so friendly. Overall a fabulous holiday and a great hotel. Would highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Fantastic location. Amazing quality and superb surroundings. A must do holiday. Food and drink was very good quality. Staff fantastically friendly and facilities were excellent.
