European travel FAQ

When to go to Europe largely depends on the specific countries and regions you plan to visit and the type of experience you’re seeking. In a nutshell, the summertime, between June to September, is the best time to visit - longer days, balmy weather, and vibrant activities such as outdoor excursions and festivals are all in the cards when travelling almost anywhere in Europe. During this time, the temperatures can vary around 30°C, with the hottest month being August.

Springtime, April to May, and autumn, September to October, are known as the shoulder seasons. This time is perfect for holidaymakers that wish to visit the region with fewer crowds and pleasant weather amidst sightseeing and a bucket-load of excursions. The Winter season offers a magical experience in Europe, with streets filled with festivities, aromatic Christmas markets, and winter sports in the Alpine region. The temperatures drop and are a lot cooler, but destinations near the Earth’s equator, such as the Canary Islands in Spain, stay consistently hot with no rain.

An abundance of diverse activities and experiences for every kind of holidaymaker awaits in the melting pot of Europe. From exploring rustic castle ruins to tasting culinary delights and dancing away at music festivals, Europe is brimmed with boredom breakers.

As Europe was the foundation for the Roman Empire and many others, it’s a historical playground enriched with a wealth of history to discover. Visit iconic cities such as Barcelona in Spain, soak up the ancient stories of old settlements in Greece, and set your eyes on the magnificent Roman ruins such as the classic Ephesus city in Turkey. You’ll immerse yourself in cultural landmarks, authentic architecture, and rich history.

If you’re into the creations of global artists like Leonardo De Vinci or Vincent van Gogh, visit some of the world’s most magnificent art collections.
