September the 16th is National Heroes Day On St Kitts and Nevis. This is a public holiday in honour of the individuals who have made the greatest contribution to the country’s advancement.

Independence Day is celebrated on the 19th, but the party begins with a concert on the night of the 18th. On both celebratory days, you can expect the streets to be full of music, dancing and colourful costumes. There will also be parades, calypso shows and some ‘street jamming’.
