Ruka Snow - Natural and Man Made Snow in Ruka
The average annual snowfall in Ruka is 100 centimetres each year.
Ruka augments this natural snow with 100 snow canons or "snow guns" along 19km of piste which equates to approximately 90% of all Ruka ski runs.
Off-piste skiing and snowboarding is permitted which helps to alleviate the wear and tear on ski conditions on the patrolled trails.
