Weather in Cortina Italy - Snow Forecast Resource

Cortina Snowfall - Weather and Man Made Snow in Cortina

On an annual basis, Cortina's average snowfall is 300cm.

This natural weather-created snowfall is helped along with ? snow guns or "snow canons" on 75km of piste - that's over 95% of the total length of Cortina ski trails.

Off-piste snowboarding and sking is allowed and of course this has the secondary effect of reducing the wear and tear on snow condition on the pisted runs.

Top Tips:

In the coldest winter months of January and February you'll be grateful for a ski resort with South facing ski areas, which offer some welcome light and warmth in the depths a mountain winter.

In the warmest spring skiing months of April and May, you'll find the best (ie not slushy) skiing is to be had on the cooler and shady North facing ski slopes.
