Easter falls towards the end of Kranjska Gora’s ski season, but if the Fates are with us and Easter is on the earlier side this year, the beautiful tree-lined slopes should do a good job at retaining the white stuff.
Worst case scenario is that skiing is limited to morning sessions, and afternoons can be spent indulging in the plethora of other activities. Our favourite things to do here are visiting the indoor water park / wellness centre, swapping the skis for a racket and ball at the sports centre, mooching around the Slovenian Alpine Museum, and, especially for the young ones, heading to the world of Solvenia’s most famous fictional character - Kekec Land.
For a more relaxed sunny afternoon, pull up a pew on the Gostilna Oštarija’s outdoor terrace, drinking in the vitamin D and savouring the endless views of the Sava Valley.
