V. good hosts

Reviewed 20 Apr 2015

Inside the chalet was fine, it was all very clean and the food was good. The location was alright as there’s a little minibus that took us up to the ski lifts, which was very accommodating. A lot of the party were ill during our stay here but the chalet hosts were always offering to help and they were very good with the baby we had with us

Nice food, nice chalet, no real issues.

Reviewed 19 Mar 2015

This was our first time in Meribel and we liked it. Everything about the chalet was fine, the food was great and we had no problems with the location (there was a minibus service that took you to the piste in a few minutes). We were happy with the twin room we stayed in, the shower got a bit wet on the floor but there was nothing you could do about that! Overall, nothing to fault really.

Overall good, bathroom below par

Reviewed 18 Mar 2014

Overall the holiday was good, but the chalet was a bit variable. We were disappointed with the room we had because the bathroom was below standard, a bit mouldy and small. Our chalet rep was great and got a cleaner to come and sort it out. This was just our room, the bathrooms in the other rooms were much nicer and luckily I had a friend staying there with us who’s bath I could use. Apart from that, the staff were lovely, they made us feel welcome and there was a nice atmosphere in the chalet. The food was great; they served canapés and mulled wine before supper in the communal area. We were a bit worried that we would end up sharing the chalet with a bunch of 20 something boys but we were lucky, there was quite a mix with a few other couples staying there (maybe it wasn’t cheap enough for groups 20 year olds wanting to party!).
In terms of the location, the chalet isn’t right on the slopes but there was a bus that took us to the lifts, the minibus was sometimes full and you had to wait for another but the overall journey was only 2 minutes. The distance if you walk in ski boots is just a little too far so the fact there’s a bus is great.
Overall, for the amount of money we paid for the chalet, it wasn’t quite good enough because of the bathroom.
Out of 5, I’d like to give the chalet a 4 but because of the bathroom I’d have to give it a 3, aside from the bath it definitely deserves more.
