With a good number of pistes above 2000m, there should be enough snow to enjoy a fantastic week in Bardonecchia over Easter. Bardo has a super location in a sunny valley and thanks to the spring sunshine, the views will be incredible. You might even manage some t-shirt skiing and there’s nothing like coming home with a golden goggle tan!
There’s a mountain of ski schools with beginner and improver courses available. Beginners’ areas are equipped with magic carpets for a gentle and safe start to the piste. Those who have conquered turning can explore the 45km of blues while 50km of roaring red slopes and 5 snow parks are a jungle of fun for the more experienced.
The best way to enjoy Bardo at this time of year is to rise early, catch the first lift, ski your legs off and spend the afternoon chilling with a drink in a mountain hut (we like Chesal 1805 and Pian del Sole). Of course, Easter is reason enough to eat as much chocolate as is humanly possible: enjoy it in a steaming cup of ciocolata in Chesal, as a velvety smooth fondue at Lo Chalet, or in pastry form at Ugetti’s patisserie.
If you’ve eaten enough, visit the beautiful churches for a real taste of local history and culture, stock up on leather goods in the lovely boutiques or burn some calories tubing.
