There are more than thirty shops in Sauze, which is a better tally than the ski area average. They cover the essential requirements and quite a lot more. For gifts and souvenirs Il Dahu, Ël Roet and Arnica and for Italian food specialities there's Gourmandaise for local produce, country fayre and quality wines and liqueurs or Il Portico for deli items. You can even take home a Bagna cauda gift set (a traditional dish from the local PIemonte region) which includes all ingredients, oil, heater and ceramic bowl required for preparation. For perfume and cosmetics visit Lichenia ("the Italian version of a Body Shop"); there's also a chemist on Via Monfol.
Italian fashion outlets abound, with Clataud Sport winning the Armani franchise for the village and other specialists such as La Pignaand Clataud sport, with plenty more sji and sportswear shops.
Sauze has two photographic stores, a tobacconist/newsagents and small supermarkets. The post Office (Open 8.15am to 1.40pm Monday to Friday and until 11.40am Saturdays) is located in the old town, there's a bank with exchange facilities as well as a cash till by the hotel Palace.
Most stores open from 9am to around 12.30 then from 3.30 to 7.30pm.
The weekly market is particularly good, selling a wide range of local goods and products from further afield.
