Established in ? the French ski resort Le Grand Bornand lies at 2100 metres altitude in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps / Alpes. With the highest lifts and ski slopes below 2500m Le Grand Bornand ski area is not snow sure. Over 100 snow cannons ensure artificial Le Grand Bornand snow making covers 18km of ski trails, which equates to around 20 of the ski slopes. The nearest airport transfer to Le Grand Bornand (France) is Geneva / Geneve at a distance of 50km or approximately 80 minutes driving time. Le Grand Bornand ski season runs from December to April.

Large, traditional French village 6km from La Clusaz with which it shares the Aravis Lift Pass. Apres ski is wide ranging with a discothèque and a large selection of eateries. The higher part of the resort is known as Chinaillon, located at 1300m and where most of the skiing starts. It is a "station" in its own right with loads of apartments and a few hotels. There are many shops and restaurants, bars and a discoteque. A bus links with the village of Le Grand Bornand. You can only ski down to Grand Bornand itself in very good snow conditions.
