The hotel is ideally located 300 m from the Flégère cable car, which provides access to the best walking/hiking trails and the main Chamonix ski area. 2 buses stop right outside the hotel (with free transport in the valley) and Les Praz de Chamonix train station is 300 m away. Shops and clubs can be found within around 1 km of the establishment. It is around 300 m to the golf course of Chamonix, while the Aiguille du Midi cable car (the highest in Europe) and the Mer de Glace/Montenvers train are each about 1 km away. The closest airport is Geneva International, 1 hour's drive (around 90 km) away. Additional airports in the vicinity include Lyon-Saint Exupéry (around 150 km), Marseille Provence (around 315 km), Megeve (around 60 km) and Cote d'Azur International (around 250 km away). Built in 1900 and renovated in 2010, the ski hotel offers 19 bedrooms and belongs to the most convivial addresses in Chamonix. Guests are welcomed in a lobby with a newspaper stand. There is a big terrace for al fresco summer dining, a lounge bar with 3 screens to allow guests to follow the news, major sports events or music, a lift and drying room for ski and walking clothes. Additional facilities include a games room, conference facilities and a car park. All the rooms offer great views of the mountains, and some have balconies or terraces. All are en suite with a shower room, bath, complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. Additional facilities include a double bed, TV, telephone, free wireless Internet access, guest information and individually regulated heating. A sauna and a gym are available for an additional fee. The restaurant serves traditional French and local Savoyard specialities, as well as excellent value wine. By road: guests should take the motorway A40 to Chamonix, then follow signs to the village of Les Praz de Chamonix. The hotel is in the centre of the village.
