The unique Art Hotel Grandes Murailles has a lovely location in the pretty village of Valtournenche. The hotel has a cosy alpine atmosphere, and we love its traditional Italian meets 'quirky-boutique' style.

Valtournenche location

The hotel is located in Valtournenche, a small resort 9kms from the centre of Cervinia. The resorts share a ski area so it is easy to get over to Cervinia or to Zermatt on your international lift pass.

Getting onto the slopes is really easy, the resort bus stop is just 50 metres from the hotel.

Art and design

Throughout the property you'll find a range of work by artist Gabriele Maquignaz. Everywhere you look there's something to admire, with abstract art on the walls and ornate sculptures dotted around.

Each of the bedrooms are decorated in a traditional mountain style with warm wood and cosy soft furnishings, however many of them also feature eclectic art and unique pieces of furniture.

Relaxation

There's a really cosy feel in the hotel with Alpine features and wood-panelled rooms. The bar area is an ideal spot to catch up with friends and family, enjoy an aperitivo before making your way to dinner where you'll enjoy a tasty three course meal. The hotels restaurant 'Bistrot de l'Artiste' offers contemporary Italian cuisine and a nod to the typical flavours ofthe Aosta Valley.

After a day on the mountain you can soothe any ski legs in the wellness area with a sauna, Turkish bath and solarium. Massages are available for an additional fee but make for the perfect treat.
