The good news for ski weekends in Morzine is that it’s one of the closest ski resorts to Geneva Airport (GVA), with the drive taking just 80 minutes or so. Chambery (CHF) is nearby too, about an hour and 40-minute drive away. These wonderfully short transfers (other resorts take a good 2/3 hours to get to) help make sure you maximise time in resort, and spend as little time as possible cooped up on a coach... And if you bag early arrival flights and late departures, you can even squeeze in an extra day or two’s skiing.

Portes du Soleil has such a variety of terrain that you can fill your time on the mountains however you like to – up on the higher slopes and snow parks around Avoriaz, skiing between the trees in Les Gets or crossing the border to Switzerland. There’s plenty to do in Morzine itself, from relaxing in bars and cafes to sledging, snowmobiling and ice skating.

You’ll find most short break accommodation here is chalets and hotels, offering comfortable lodging with meals included. This saves time and money having to find restaurants around the resort, letting you really relax and enjoy your time away.
