Tenuta Centoporte is surrounded by olive groves and landscaped gardens. But despite feeling away from it all in the countryside, you're only a five-minute drive from the seaside town of Otranto.
If history and culture are something you love, this place should spark your interest. The estate takes its name from the ancient abbey that once stood here, which was an important centre for Italian and Greek culture. Today the hotel's whitewashed buildings and traditional dry stone walls take its place. In the hot summer, the cool breezy rooms are a welcome respite from the heat. We love that the comfort rooms all have their own private patio and entrance from the garden – it makes it that much easier to nip back from the pool for your sun glasses! Speaking of the pool, it’s surrounded Mediterranean plants, sun loungers and parasols - it’s a lovely area to chill out, read your book or soak up the sun after a swim. With tasty snacks from the pool bar and a cocktail or two, it’s easy to spend the whole day here.
When it comes to food the chef focusses on making the most of the delicious local ingredients. You can book cooking lessons at the hotel (payable locally) and recreate them when you get home. Other activities like wine tours and horse riding excursions are bookable locally or you cansimply hire an e-bike, take a picnic and explore the surrounding Salento countryside.
Car hire is recommended for this hotel. Tenuta Centoporte is approx. 1 hour 10 mins from Brindisi Airport.
