Hotel Palazzo Murat is a little oasis in the centre of Positano. As soon as you enter this 19th century residence from Positano’s bustling pedestrianised street, you’re immediately surrounded by immaculate Mediterranean gardens with scented lemon and orange trees and exotic plants. It’s a stunning hotel that’s been carefully decorated in a classic yet minimalist Neapolitan style. Whitewashed walls are accented by local art and antique furnishings, and vietri tiles are laid out on the floor. The décor continues in the comfortable rooms that offer a peaceful retreat with plenty of space and a private terrace or balcony with views of the gardens or the sea.

We recommend trying out the hotel’s restaurant on at least one night of your stay. It’s popular with both guests and locals and serves excellent local cuisine. The terrace is an ideal dining spot during the summer when you can enjoy the shade of the well-established lemon trees. At the edge of the garden, you’ll find the pool and a large sundeck equipped with comfy loungers. The views over Positano and sea from here are spectacular.

Garden View Rooms are on the ground floor and face the hotel’s beautiful gardens. The have been finished in a Neapolitan style and include air conditioning, TV, iPod dock, minibar and hairdryer.

Superior Rooms enjoy a sea view terrace and plenty of space in which to unwind after a day exploring.

Special Superior Rooms have a corner location with dual aspect windows and balcony with side sea views.

Deluxe Rooms enjoy some of the best views of Positano and the sea from their position on the second floor of the hotel.

Special Deluxe Rooms are in the corner of the hotel and have two balconies.
