Hotel Mon Repos is a lovely small hotel that's been in the Barelli family for generations. The location's perfect. It’s in a quiet, elevated position on the Sirmione promontory between the beautiful old town and Jamaica beach. There’s lots to see and do in Sirmione and it’s easy to explore on foot. There's some lovely walks in the area and the Roman Ruins of Grotte di Catullo are a great starting point. You can also borrow the free city bikes from the hotel to explore nearby towns like Desenzano. With the ferry point conveniently close it’s easy to travel further afield too.
When you’re not out exploring, make the most of the facilities back at the hotel. The pool's a real highlight – it’s out in the gardens surrounded by olive trees with lots of sun loungers and nice spots to relax. Drinks and snacks are always on hand from the poolside bar. The rooms here are comfy and they all have balconies. If you upgrade to a lake view room, you can really make the most of the beautiful surroundings.
The breakfast room has large windows so you can look out across Lake Garda while you plan the day’s activities over coffee and fresh pastries. Staying here on bed and breakfast means you can try out a different restaurant in town every night if you like – there’s loads of good places to choose from and the staff can point you in the direction of their favourites.
