Hotel Baia del Capitano has a great Mediterranean style throughout and a laid back atmosphere. It's located in the Bay of Mazzoforno, just four kilometres away from the historical centre of Cefalù. From its elevated position you get views over the sea towards the picturesque town.
The rooms are decorated in a typical Sicilian style - most have views over the hotel's gardens but upgrades to a sea view are available for a supplement. Your time at the hotel can be as relaxing or active as you want – there’s plenty on offer for everyone. You can relax by the pool, where you can keep your glass topped up with drinks from the pool bar or lay back in the whirlpool; or head to the nearby private sandy beach where there are plenty of loungers (normally open mid June to mid September). There's lots of activities available too including tennis, cycling and scuba diving (some activities are payable locally).
The centre of Cefalù is around a 15-minute drive away and the hotel operates a shuttle service there and back from morning until late afternoon (payable locally). It's a charming seaside town with a lovely historical centre that's filled with stunning architecture, restaurants and bars. If you prefer to dine in the hotel, the Kefale Restaurant serves traditional Sicilian cuisine that can be enjoyed in the hotel gardens, and the lobby bar provides the perfect excuse for a pre-dinner drink.
Transfer time: approx. 1 hour 10 mins by private car from Palermo airport.
