Overview - hotel description - Excelsior Palace description

The best thing about Excelsior Palace hotel is its location - you’ll find yourself about fifty metres from Taormina's pedestrianised main street, Corso Umberto, and on the edge of a cliff so you get amazing sea views. If you can, upgrade to an Elegance Room so you get to wake up to sea views each morning. The rooms are in keeping with the historic hotel building and have an old-world charm. A stepped path leads down through terraced gardens to the pool. From here there are fantastic views of the Taormina coastline. When you’re not exploring, this is the perfect spot to relax with a good book.

Taormina’s a really vibrant place to visit with lots of shops, beautiful old churches and the ancient Greek Theatre. There are lots of nice restaurants and cafés close to the hotel and more seafood places in Taormina Mare - the gondola is just a short stroll away. The hotel has a nice bar area with comfy sofas where you can have a nightcap before bed.

Transfer time: approx. 1 hour by private car from Catania airport.
