If you want to party, the Aspen nightlife and dining scene are sure to keep you entertained. If you’re not the type to want to see in the New Year with a hangover, the slopes are more than likely to be deserted on New Year’s Day, allowing you to slay whatever line you want.

Many people want to see out the old and enter the New Year with a terrific bang. Aspen doesn’t just facilitate this, it actively promotes this, with a selection of options allowing you to party well into the early hours. If it’s style and sophistication you’re looking for, a number of hotels and clubs will cater for your needs. For a reasonably priced but classy meal, the Saint Regis hotel usually does family buffet dinners. Following this, there has also been a party onsite, with a couple of drinks included, live music and hors d’oeuvres for a fee. If you want to splash the cash a little more, why not check out the Chef’s Club by Food and Wine. For a costly after party, we’d definitely recommend the Element 47 Bar; previous years have seen its price at around $350 per head, which got you hors d’oeuvres, a four piece jazz band and unlimited Cristal Champagne. However, if you truly want to go all out, the legendary Caribou Club is the perfect option. During the season, this private club offers a deal for couples to purchase membership for the week at $500, which can sky rocket around peak dates to $1500. On top of this, you can join them for what can only be described as an exquisite dinner, which has been known to cost $750 per person. This will almost certainly be a night that you, and your wallet, will not forget.

If you don’t fancy spending outrageous sums of money on your entertainment, then there are plenty of options available, both suited to families and adults alike. The obvious happenings are the annual firework displays; one earlier in the evening and one at midnight so younger children can take part in the celebrations too. Continuing the family theme, there has often been a bonfire and DJ in Wagner Park from around 8pm, free of charge, perfect for those with teens and people wanting a quieter night than many of the bars and restaurants offer.
