The gamble of an Easter ski trip is whether or not there’s still going to be any snow, or if what is there will be heavy, sodden slush. Any terrain above 2000m is far more likely to escape this end-of-season nightmare, and with the highest peak topping out at 2656m, Baqueira is likely to deliver on pristine late-season white stuff.
When the Spanish sun’s blazing, stop off to soak it in at the Moet Lounge in Beret, where the views down the valley are nothing short of spectacular. Daytime temperatures in April typically max out at between 15 and 20ᵒC, so if the snow gets slushy and you fancy something different, explore the lower villages of the valley for an afternoon or try your hand at snowmobiling or dog-sledding.
