1 review of Chalet Silvana in Meribel & Mottaret, France.

We had a lovely week, the Silvana is a nice chalet and we were really pleased with it; everything looked just like the pictures. The fact that there’s an open fire is always good, and I liked the setup of the living space, which was away from the kitchen so you had a bit of privacy while the chalet hosts were cooking. I also liked that it’s on 2 levels, and that there are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It’s not ski in, ski out, but it didn’t claim to be – the access to the slopes was as described, about a five minute walk that was a little uphill on the way back.
The only things that we were lacking: We’ve always tended to eat out in the evenings but were a bit disappointed with Meribel which didn’t seem to have many places to eat, and was a bit quiet (maybe because it was late in the season or that Meribel’s very chalet centred?). Also, we normally find a bakery within a 1-2 minute walk that delivers a set of pastries to your door, like croissants and pain au raisin, but here we couldn’t find much apart from bread.
