We enjoyed the holiday, the resort was fantastic and the snow was superb but the apartments were a slightly different matter...
The location of the accommodation is not ideal as you’re quite a bit away from the centre of town – they’re quite high up in comparison to the resort centre.
There is a bus service that takes you down in the mornings which for the sake of not having to hump your equipment about makes things easier.
The problem is that the bus stops running early in the evening so if you have a meal after skiing, there’s no service at the time you want to come back. You have to climb up several sets of metal steps which is quite a climb - we’re reasonably fit and had to stop to catch our breath - it would be an absolute nightmare with children. On the main we ate out every night so we were ultra fit by time we’d climbed back! We discovered towards the end of the week that there’s ski storage in the resort bit (which you’d end up paying for), but even walking back without ski boots was hard work.
Once you did get back, we had a one bedroomed apartment which was pretty basic but fine and adequate for our needs. We were a group of 4 and besides the ones in the bedroom, the other beds were in the living area (the usual sofa beds you had to unfold each evening). The apartments also have a sauna which is chargeable.
